10. Decide how much width the letters will fill on your Topper. Draw a bottom line and center on space. Mark where each letter will go.
Glue to the Topper. I used Super Glue gel.
Wipe up any excess glue.
12. Prop Topper up in the air upside down and spray edges with red vinyl and fabric paint.
When dry, turn over and spray the top.
Make sure to spray from all 4 sides to make sure that the sides of the letters get covered.
13. Cutout the stickers for the top to look like on the OEM battery. Glue to the topper. I used a glue stick. Spray the topper with a matte clear paint from all 4 sides.
14. Mask off top of your battery.
Prepare bottom of battery for painting.
I rubbed mine with steel wool.
Spray with flat white paint.
15. Attach front sticker or lettering if desired.
On most Fox cars the front is hard to see so this is not really necessary.
Coat with clear.
16. When dry, put on your Battery Topper, replace filler caps and connect the terminals.
- Cut plastic strips for sides
and glue to bottom of top.
I used clear silicone for this.
Check fit on battery.
